Paris Saint-Germain started the match against Nice with their star striker Kylian Mbappe on the bench.

After a slow start, PSG took a free kick on the edge of the box in the 28th minute. Then Argentine striker Lionel Messi showed his brilliance and found the top corner, leaving Nice goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel flat-footed.

After Messi’s goal, both teams failed to create more chances and PSG went to the locker room with a 1-0 lead at half-time. At that time it seemed that it would be a comfortable victory for the Parisian team.

However, after the restart, Nice equalized after a defensive error by PSG. 24-year-old French striker Gaetan Laborde outplayed Donarumma to make it 1-1. With Nice maintaining very good defensive form, the PSG players were not creating chances, which frustrated Galiter.

The PSG coach brought in Kylian Mbappé from the bench. And the French striker soon showed the class of him, scoring in the 83rd minute of the game to return the lead to Paris Saint-Germain. This was Mbappé’s 8th goal this Ligue 1 campaign.

PSG’s defense managed to maintain their lead and secured another three points in the Ligue 1 match.
