Bundesliga statistics

The Deutsche Football League, together with Amazon Web Services, announced two new match statistics for upcoming Bundesliga games. Statistics join the league’s Bundesliga Match Facts folder. This gives viewers an incredible perspective on specialized game areas.

Introduced in 2020, Bundesliga Match Facts provides groundbreaking statistics on speed in essentially real time. The software collects 3.6 million data points and analyzes them simultaneously. These figures include expected goals, shooting efficiency, average position, speed alert, attacking zones, most pressured player, passing profile, set piece threat and skill.

The Bundesliga now introduces pressure management and win probability in their The two new stats being introduced are pressure management and win probability.

The two new statistics of the Bundesliga game

Pressure Management tracks every player on the pitch and determines who handles pressure best.

Performing under pressure is a key attribute that can make or break an entire game. Software measurements predict this figure using the escape rate. Escape rate tracks how often a player can get out of high-pressure situations. That can be dribbling, finding a teammate, taking a shot, or committing a foul.

The probability of winning tries to predict which team will win the match. The measurement can take into account notable fluctuations at each moment of each match. Factors such as score and time remaining in the game are obviously major components of probability. This stat will also use other Bundesliga match data mentioned above to determine the win rate.

These innovative data analytics help fans gain deeper insight into exactly how each game is going. As well as predicting outcomes, they can also allow for a better understanding of each team’s strategy and how each specific player is performing.

Pressure management and the probability of winning will be presented on Friday. Bayern Munich hosts Bayer Leverkusen at 2:30 (ET) on ESPN+. Then there will be six games on Saturday and two on Sunday. ESPN+ currently broadcasts all Bundesliga games in the United States.
