EPL commentator schedule: October 1-3

After the international break, and with some teams not playing for almost a month, the Premier League is back in style.

Derby matches and intercity matchups highlight a full 10-game slate over the weekend. Here are the biggest games.

What better way to start the weekend than the North London Debry between Arsenal and Tottenham. Both teams started this young campaign in good form, and that makes for a matchup that includes two of the top three teams in the EPL table. After seven games, Arsenal have only one spot, good enough for 18 points. Tottenham are tied with Manchester City for second place, just one point behind the Gunners.

On the subject of Manchester City, on Sunday morning they will host their rivals from across town, Manchester United. While Manchester City seems to be working as expected, Manchester United’s resurgence after the struggles of the first few seasons is admirable. Four wins in a row is the best current run of matches in the Premier League. However, Manchester City on the road is the most challenging team in that series of games, even if United faced Arsenal and Liverpool.

Liverpool’s loss to Manchester United is the only loss suffered by the Reds. However, Jürgen Klopp’s side also have three draws, putting the Anfield club in eighth place, nine points behind league leaders Arsenal. A win against a Brighton side currently sitting fourth in the table would go a long way this weekend. If Liverpool have title ambitions, the climb is already steep with just seven games left.

NBC coverage

NBC’s coverage returns to its regular schedule after the international break and an irregular weekend on matchday seven, as six teams did not play. Rebecca Lowe joins Robbie Earle and Robbie Mustoe on Saturday and Sunday. For coverage before and after Monday’s Leicester City game against Nottingham Forest, Paul Burmeister fills in, with Danny Higginbotham joining Mustoe as analysts.

Goal Rush is available during the 10am start time on Saturday. The fast-paced show follows one game, but provides live highlights of goals, big fouls, or big moments in the other games in that time slot.

There are also Premier League matches available in 4K. This weekend, there is only one, and that is the North London Derby on Saturday morning. Make sure to check if you have the correct hardware and subscriptions available to watch the Premier League in 4K.
