Liverpool player’s agent confirms he’s back to full health and now ready to be used by Jurgen Klopp

Federico Pastorello has confirmed that his client Arthur Melo is now ‘at the complete disposal’ of Jurgen Klopp following his recovery from surgery in June.

The Brazil international had plenty to do to catch up with the Merseysiders thanks in no small part to the lack of faith Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri showed in him in Turin.

“Arthur played very little last year, then he had surgery scheduled in June, so he skipped part of the preparation,” the Italian told Calciomercato (via TEAMtalk).

“He was not in [Massimiliano] Allegri’s plans, so he didn’t train with the rest of the team.

“That is why it is normal that arriving on the last day in these conditions, from his point of view he needed extra work.

“Now he has recovered and is at the complete disposal of the coach. I have no doubt that he will do very well in a Liverpool shirt.”

Indeed, with reports claiming the Reds were considering sending his signing to Italy on loan in January after being firmly ruled out, there remains hope that the 26-year-old can finally get his career started at Anfield.

Where the former Blaugrana man is likely to be particularly useful to the German tactician as a potential alternative to Thiago Alcantara, whose injury history remains somewhat of a problem even after a move out of the Bundesliga.

The most notable of his qualities is the ability to dictate the game, break down lines with his incisive passes and be a pressure-resistant option in midfield.

Having used the international break as an opportunity to continue working and improve his fitness with appearances for the Under-21s, Klopp will find it increasingly difficult to ignore Arthur in a month of football that contains nine matches.
