Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has home burgled while inside with young family – Liverpool FC

Police have confirmed that Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was robbed at his home while he was inside with his family on Tuesday night.

The 29-year-old lives in Wilmslow, near Manchester, with his partner Perrie Edwards and their 13-month-old son.

A police statement revealed that his home was raided on Tuesday night, with Oxlade-Chamberlain and all of his family members present at the time.

No one was injured but jewelery and bags were stolen and Cheshire Police are investigating the incident.

“At 10:45pm on Tuesday 27th September the police were called for a burglary at a property in Wilmslow,” the police statement was quoted by The Athletic as saying.

“The offender(s) have broken into the house stealing jewelry and bags while the occupants were inside. Investigations continue to identify the suspects.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained during Liverpool’s pre-season tour of Asia.

He has yet to feature for the Reds in 2022/23, with reports indicating he could return to action in late October or November.

The former Arsenal midfielder became engaged to Little Mix singer Edwards over the summer, and their son Axel was born last year.

It’s not the first time Liverpool players have seen their property stolen, with Fabinho’s home broken into as the Brazilian celebrated the Reds’ Premier League title with his family in 2020.

Meanwhile, Man United midfielder Victor Lindelof and Man City’s Joao Cancelo have also been raided in the last 12 months, the latter being attacked by a gang of thieves in front of his wife and daughter in their house in Manchester.

Fortunately, it appears that Oxlade-Chamberlain and his family are unharmed, but that wouldn’t have made the events of Tuesday night any less terrifying for them. Our thoughts are with Alex and his family.
