Liverpool told by Enrique to buy ‘nightmare’ winger Ousmane Dembele

Liverpool have been advised to consider Ousmane Dembele as a potential future transfer in light of the Frenchman’s renewed form for Barcelona.

With a contract expiring in 2024, the Reds could possibly negotiate a bargain fee for the 25-year-old attacker in the upcoming summer window, if they so choose.

“He can go left or right. He can do the exact same thing and you don’t know which way he’s going to go. As a former fullback it would be a nightmare to stop someone like Dembele because he is fast and he can use both feet,” José Enrique said on Instagram (quoted by HITC).

“I am very happy that he recently renewed his contract, then we will see what happens. It seems that he is getting back to his best level: he is among the best when he is fit.

“Hopefully, in the future, he will be a player who can play for us (Liverpool). If he stays fit and has the right mindset, he is one of the best at everything as a winger.”

One potential wrench in the works, of course, has to be the winger’s historically problematic behaviour, with the player infamously vandalizing a house he had been renting from Jurgen Klopp during his time with Borussia Dortmund.

However, at 25 years of age, there have been signs of improvement in that regard and we have no doubt that the German strategist would be prepared to give Dembele the benefit of the doubt if the potential signing appeals.

With Mo Salah’s contract situation resolved, there will be no rush to find a long-term replacement for the Egyptian king, although it certainly doesn’t hurt to consider our options in the market when they arise.

Despite the links between the band man and Liverpool, it remains to be seen how concrete that interest is; As things stand, we’d be inclined to take any rumors with a grain of salt.
