After Stones’ injury, the first half ended 0-0. However, early in the second half the Germans took the lead at Wembley Stadium through an Ilkay Gundigan penalty. Chelsea striker Kai Havertz made it 2-0 in the 67th minute, which many thought was the winner. However, the Three Lions had different plans.

Within four minutes, England left-back Luke Shaw scored the first goal for England. Then, after another four minutes, Mason Mount scored the equalizer for the Three Lions. England completed a brilliant comeback when captain Harry Kane scored from the spot to give England the lead. However, their lead was short lived as Kai Havertz scored the final goal of the match which resulted in a 3–3 draw.

Manchester City: Manchester City defender John Stones suffers injury ahead of Manchester derby

Defending English Premier League champions Manchester City suffered a serious blow when their defender John Stones was injured while playing for the English team.

At this time, there is no clear update on the severity of Stones’ injury. All of this comes before one of the biggest games of the season for City, the Manchester derby.

The Stones have been one of the mainstays of City’s lineup this season. Primarily a centre-back, the former Barnsley academy graduate even appeared at right-back in Walker’s absence, while making 7 appearances.

Stones scored a thunderous equalizer in City’s final Champions League match against Dortmund, helping the Citizens force a comeback. And now he was expected to play another big role in the upcoming Manchester derby.

However, now with this injury, there is uncertainty about his fitness. This indicates that City will probably go with a back line of Walker, Dias, Akanji and Cancelo in the next game.
