Fury States He’s NOT Fighting Joshua Next Because He Missed The Deadline Today

By Charles Brun: Just moments ago, Tyson Fury announced that he is officially moving on after Anthony Joshua missed the 5:00 pm Monday deadline he had set for him to sign a contract for a fight on December 3 .

Fury never seemed to like the Joshua fight, which would have been really tough. Fury was knocked down twice in his last fight against Deontay Wilder last October.

Some boxing fans believe the referee counted slowly on the second knockdown, which seemed to save Fury from being counted out.

I mean, it wasn’t as bad as the long-running feud between Jack Dempsey and Gene Tunny in the 1920s, but it was pretty close. It was the second time Fury had fended off a knockout loss to Wilder.

Fury had said today that he would not extend the deadline for Joshua to sign, so he is now moving on after AJ failed to drop off his John Hancock by the 5 pm deadline he had set.

“Well guys, it’s official. D-Day has come and gone. It’s already past five o’clock on Monday,” Tyson Fury said on social media. “No contract has been signed.

“It’s officially over for Joshua. Now he’s out in the cold with the wolf pack. Forget it. Idiot, coward, shithouse, bodybuilder. I always knew it. I always knew you didn’t have the minerals to fight the Gypsy King.

“Regardless of what you say now, I really don’t care. Good luck with your career and your life. End of. Peace out,” Fury said.

You have to wonder what Fury’s promoters, Frank Warren and Bob Arum, are thinking right now. After all of his hard work, Fury throws it all away by opting out of the contest.

Hopefully this won’t be something Fury continues to do for the rest of his career.

Winning a title sometimes goes to a wrestler’s head, making them think they are Kingly in some way. That could be the problem with Fury. I think it’s more a case of Fury not liking the idea of fighting Joshua because there’s a good chance he’ll take some chips off Tyson which would leave him in a depleted state for the Oleksandr Usyk fight next February or March.

When Fury said he wasn’t going to extend the deadline, it clearly showed that he wasn’t looking forward to fighting Joshua. Why else would Fury come up with an extravagant deadline and then refuse to extend it?

It shows that Fury never wanted the fight with Joshua in the first place because he would have a lot to lose.

Well, if Fury needs a replacement opponent for his Dec. 3 fight, he should look in the direction of Joe Joyce.

Of course, we all know that the last thing Fury wants is to get mixed up with Joyce and end up like his good friend Joseph Parker by getting knocked out.

The guy Fury is reportedly interested in fighting on December 3 is ‘Diamond Boy’ Manuel Charr, a fighter who has fought just five times in the last six years.

Charr is well known among boxing fans, but not casual ones. You’ve probably never seen him fight because he rarely competes, and even then, it’s against less than the best.
