Jude Bellingham might be available for £83million, if paid upfront – Man United News And Transfer News

Since Erik ten Hag’s appointment, a combination of astute purchases and players upping their game has meant Manchester United’s midfield look much stronger compared to last season.

Fans were tired of seeing the pair of Fred and Scott McTominay make the same mistakes week in and week out and begged the club to recruit top class operators.

And the Dutchman decided to bring in Christian Eriksen for free and spent a lot of money to sign Casemiro from Real Madrid.

Midfield looks better

The Dane has been a revelation while the Brazilian has been indirectly responsible for McTominay showing some of his best football.

But there are still gaps, with the former Ajax manager preferring to use a deep-lying playmaker rather than a destroyer and Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong was his go-to option in the summer.

But a mix of deferred wages and the player’s refusal to leave meant United had to give up their protracted pursuit.

However, rumors have resurfaced linking the Dutch international with a move to Old Trafford next summer.

Another player whose name has frequently been linked to United is Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham. Before signing him for Germany he was close to signing for the Red Devils.

Reports have indicated that Dortmund would only agree to part ways with the England international for a fee of £130m. But The Sun has now claimed a deal can be struck for £50m less if a certain condition is met.

Utd in for Jude

“Jude Bellingham could leave Borussia Dortmund for just £83m next summer, if the full fee is paid up front,” the report mentions.

The report also mentions that United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea will compete for his signature, but City are in the best position to complete the deal due to their ability to win trophies, as well as the shared bond between Bellingham and Erling Haaland.

Pep Guardiola is eyeing the 19-year-old as Kevin de Bruyne’s eventual successor.

It will be a tall order for United to beat City on their signing, but first and foremost, they have to qualify for the Champions League next season to stand any chance.
