Gabriel Agbonlahor is no stranger to making comments that completely baffle Liverpool fans and his latest claim over the £64m signing of Darwin Nunez is hardly going to rectify that reputation.
The former Aston Villa star took the opportunity to jump on the anti-Núñez bandwagon with both hands, calling the Uruguayan international the worst signing of the summer window.
It’s fair to say that our potentially record-breaking signing hasn’t got off to a perfect start at Anfield, mainly due to his three-game suspension, although a tally of three goal contributions in six games (equivalent to a goal or assist every 86.33 minutes based on a total number of 259 minutes played) is FAR from horrible.
Considering that he has had to adjust to a new team within a front of three that is adjusting to having a proper No. 9 at the front of the line, it is highly unfair and factually incorrect to label the 23-year-old as the worst. summer transfer.
