Pablo Torre on Playing For Reserve Team

News from Barcelona: the young Pablo Torre has insisted that he is willing to play for Barcelona’s reserve team if the club tells him to.

Torre joined Barcelona in the 2022 summer transfer window, with the 19-year-old attacking midfielder signing a contract that runs until 2026.

Torre signed for Barcelona from Racing de Santander, with whom he has played 57 games and scored 14 goals. However, the young Spaniard has had a hard time gaining minutes in Barcelona’s senior team.

Since he signed for the Catalan team, he has only played one game with the Barça first team. That happened in Barcelona’s 5-1 win over Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League group stage. Xavi brought him on as a substitute in the 81st minute of the match, replacing Franck Kessie.

Torre recently appeared for the Barcelona B team in their 2-0 win over Real Murcia. The youngster appeared from start to finish as Barça B cruised to victory.

Torre was asked about playing for Barça B and the youngster assured that he is willing to play ‘wherever’ the club tells him.

“I’m a Barça player and I’ll play where they tell me, I’m willing to play with the reserve team when necessary and I’ll work to play for the first team,” said Torre.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have had a relatively good start to the 22/23 season. The Catalan club are second in the La Liga points table with 16 points from their first six games in the Spanish top flight.

Barcelona are undefeated in La Liga this season, having won five games and shared points in one game. They are two points behind league leaders Real Madrid, who have a 100% winning record this season.

The game in which Barcelona dropped points was against Rayo Vallecano in its LaLiga 22/23 debut. Vallecano held Barcelona to a goalless draw in that match. Barcelona have won all five games they have played since then in La Liga.
