Arsenal dealt injury blow ahead of North London Derby

Arsenal took an injury hit ahead of the North London Derby against Tottenham.

Oleksandr Zinchenko missed Arsenal’s final game before international duty against Brentford, with Kieran Tierney coming on to play at left-back.

Zinchenko also missed Ukraine games during the international break, making him a doubt for Arsenal’s game against Tottenham next week.

To add insult to injury for the Arsenal fans, Zinchenko’s replacement, Tierney, also picked up an injury.

In a statement on Arsenal’s website, the club have confirmed that Tierney has left the Scotland squad to return to Arsenal for evaluation.

Arsenal have not gone into too much detail about the extent of his injury, but have confirmed that it was to his head.

Due to concussion protocols in the Premier League, Tierney may be forced to sit on the sidelines for a few weeks, meaning he is very likely to miss the upcoming game against Tottenham.

If Arsenal are without Zinchenko and Tierney against Tottenham’s attacking threat, they could be at a huge disadvantage against their bitter rivals. meter
