Hearn Hits Back at Jake Paul’s Allegations: His Comments Will Be Dealt With Appropriately

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing has responded to recent allegations by YouTube star turned boxer Jake Paul.

During a recent interview, Paul made a serious allegation that Matchroom was financially compensating veteran judge Glenn Feldman of the United States.

Paul fired off some of Feldman’s high-profile scorecards in recent months.

Paul, who guides the career of super featherweight champion Amanda Serrano, joined Hearn in April to co-promote the Puerto Rican boxer’s big showdown with Katie Taylor, who is under the Matchroom banner.

“I still think Amanda Serrano won the fight,” Paul told IFL TV’s Umar Ahmed in a recent interview when asked to reflect on the fight. “And then you see how this judge Glenn Feldman, who had the biggest gap between Taylor and Serrano. Pretty much everyone had a tie… a tie or Amanda would win. But there’s this judge, Glenn Feldman, who made such a big gap for Taylor, gave rounds that Amanda clearly won, to Taylor.

“Then this judge, Glenn Feldman, shows up in Saudi Arabia and tags Anthony Joshua to win (against Usyk). Everyone who watched the fight (knows) it’s not a split decision. Usyk had a great victory, he clearly won the fight. Does this judge, Glenn Feldman, give it to Anthony Joshua? It’s like a repeat crime here. This type of shit, I’m going to call it here in boxing because it sucks. Clearly Matchroom Boxing is paying this guy money.”

The accusations reached Hearn, who plans to respond in due course.

“What he said in terms of his allegations of corruption with Glen Feldman is totally unacceptable. We all laughed at Jake and he’s an average fighter, but I’m telling you now, what he said is unacceptable and will be dealt with because we take this sport seriously. our values as a family and we love the sport of boxing,” Hearn told Matchroom Boxing.

“So for him to come out with idiotic comments without even thinking about what he said is extremely hurtful to me and very disrespectful to us as a business and as a family. Jake’s comments will be dealt with appropriately. I’m not prepared.” as he would on many occasions, to take what he says with a pinch of salt on this occasion because it is out of line and totally disrespectful to the sport of boxing and to me and us.”
