Chelsea’s miserable start to the UCL campaign has seen them lose to Dinamo Zagreb and draw at home with RB Salzburg, so they will likely need to pick up at least four points from their upcoming double-header with AC Milan.
The Italian giants have already had some slip-ups this season and their recent loss at home to Napoli could be a big moment in the Serie A title race, but it also looks like they will be without their number one goalkeeper Mike Maignan for a few weeks:
? Mike Maignan suffered an injury last night that will keep him out of action for the next 2-3 weeks.
Although the duration is not long, he could miss some important matches for Milan.

If he is ruled out for the full three weeks, he is likely to miss both games against Chelsea, and a look at his backup options shows that it will be a huge loss.
Veteran goalkeepers Antonio Mirante and Ciprian Tatarusanu haven’t been regular starters for a while now, and might best be described as safe options who aren’t likely to let you down, but aren’t likely to make any unexpected saves either.

There will be some rust for them if Maignan is out, so Chelsea must go after Milan quickly and put pressure on them to see if they can make that vital early breakthrough.
