Ex-Red bags double as Harvey Elliott stars for England Under-21s

There are several members of the Liverpool squad enjoying time representing their countries, with a current and former Red starring in the same match for England.

Despite rumors that our number 19, Harvey Elliott, was possibly handed a senior cap by Gareth Southgate, he instead found himself starting on the bench for the Under-21s against Italy.

The 19-year-old came on as a second-half substitute, but it was Rhian Brewster’s efforts that grabbed the headlines.

Our former striker scored twice in the first five minutes of the game and that was enough to give Lee Carsley’s team the win.

It’s great to see the Sheffield United striker finding his form in front of goal once again.
