UPDATE (2:56 pm ET): Shakur Stevenson confirms that he will move up to 135 for his next fight, and that he has no intention of trying to get back on the scales and make weight for this fight, thereby vacating his titles. They will still be in line for Robson Conceicao.

Shakur Stevenson missed weight on the scales today, which means if he doesn’t come back and make weight, the WBC and WBO junior lightweight titles will only be on the line for Robson Conceicao in his ESPN main event on Friday night. night in Newark.
Stevenson (18-0, 9 KOs) weighed in at 131.6 pounds, or 1.6 pounds over the fight limit. The Top Rank team did a tremendous job at the weigh-in without even acknowledging that Stevenson had missed the weight, because everyone else is dumb and if you don’t say it, they won’t notice.
Stevenson will have two hours from the weigh-in to make the weight, and we’ll let you know if he makes it or not.
There’s a good chance Stevenson will just vacate the belts and move up to 135 after this, which in many ways was the plan in the first place.
Conceicao (17-1, 8 KOs) weighed in at 129.6.
