Morata discusses his time at Juve and insists he knew he would return to Atletico MadridJuvefc.com

Álvaro Morata has opened up about his last season on loan at Juventus before returning to Atlético de Madrid.

The Spanish striker spent two seasons on loan at the Allianz Stadium before leaving in the summer.

Juve had the chance to make his loan permanent, but the Bianconeri didn’t take it.

The striker has been in black and white for four seasons in two stages. Each time, he worked with Max Allegri.

He reveals that when Dusan Vlahovic joined, the coach assured him his place in the team, but asked him to play on the wings. He also revealed that he knew that he would return to Spain this season.

He said, quoted by Calciomercato:

“I have always felt loved at Juve, but I believe a lot in destiny and I miss winning something with Atlético. I already knew that I would return, even during the last season I had already told my wife and family”

Adding: When Vlahovic came I thought he would play less. So I spoke with Allegri and he told me that I would not move from Juve, that I would have to play with him, on the left: for me it was an effort, but in the end I showed that I can do it”.

Juve FC says

Morata did well in his two spells at Juve and Allegri loved working with the former Chelsea player.

If the coach had the opportunity, he would keep the forward in his team for one more season.

We have allowed him to go. Now it’s time to move on and focus on the players we have at our disposal.
