Detroit boxer Isiah Jones murdered during family dispute

Multiple outlets now confirm that 28-year-old Isiah Jones was shot to death on Monday following a dispute with a family member. Jones, a 2016 Golden Golves winner who fought in Detroit, Michigan, was killed in the 9300 block of Stout Street after what is believed to have been an argument with his brother, though police have yet to officially confirm his death. brother is the suspect despite statements from people close to Jones.

Jones’ professional career was difficult, to say the least, as he compiled a professional record of 9-7 (3 KO’s), losing his last five matches in a row. This loss, however, is obviously far beyond the scope of what we’d like to see for anyone.

Isiah Jones was the father of two sons, who sadly no longer have a father to guide and support them. Jones’s trainer tells ABC Detroit that he had been trying to get his fighter to move to Toledo for a period of time to train and get away from the negativity around him. However, sometimes, as he says, certain people just can’t get over obstacles in their personal lives.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Isiah Jones, who are surely grieving this brutal and unexpected loss.
