This Friday night, popular local bantamweight Jonathan Rodriguez will take on tough veteran Oscar Vazquez in the main event of a tremendous night of professional boxing on Friday, September 23 at The Wind Creek Events Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
The card is promoted by King’s Promotions.
RodrÃguez de Belén is 10-1-1 with three knockouts. The 23-year-old is a four-year pro and will be looking for the biggest win of his career, and he will do it in front of his hometown fans.
This will be his fifth appearance at The Events Center, and he is coming off a six-round unanimous decision over Jose Flores Canez on March 11 at The Wind Creek Events Center.
Vazquez of Sun Valley, Nevada is 15-3-1 with three knockouts. The 35-year-old has a win over Jose Toribio (6-1) and now looks to get back in the win column after losing a unanimous decision to undefeated Ja’Rico Quinn on January 17, 2020 in Sloan, Iowa.
A host of undefeated prospects from King’s Promotions will be featured in the bouts on the undercard.
In an eight-round lightweight co-feature, emerging lightweight James Bernadin takes on an opponent to name
Bernardin of Lancaster, Pennsylvania is 7-0-1 with four knockouts. The 29-year-old fighter has been fought hard and has come out ahead with great success defeating Osvaldo Morales (4-0), Edgar Torres (8-2-1) and his fight when he took a unanimous decision over Kenny Robles (9- 1) on May 20 in Philadelphia.
Also in an eight-round bout, undefeated junior middleweight Joseph Jackson will take on Anthony Lenk.
Jackson of Greensboro, North Carolina is 17-0 with 13 knockouts. Jackson, 33, defeated Monreco Goldston (5-0-1) and a nationally televised victory over Derrick Colemon Jr. (11-0). In Jackson’s last fight, he stopped Terrance Williams in the first round on June 5, 2021, in Philadelphia.
Lenk of Niagara Falls, New York is 17-9 with seven knockouts. Lenk, 34, has quality wins over Rufino Flores (1-0), Danny Escobar (6-0), Boyd Henley (8-0-1) and Edwin Soto (13-2-2). Lenk is coming off a 10-round loss to Ian Green on June 11 in Miami.
In a six round bout, Julian Gonzalez (6-0-1, 6 KOs) of Reading, PA faces Rondale Hubbert (14-23-3, 8 KOs) of Duluth, Minnesota in a lightweight bout.
Also in a six-round fight, undefeated light heavyweight Joseph George (11-0, 7 KOs) of Houston, Texas faces an opponent to name.
In four-round fights,
Thanjhae Teasley (3-0, 2 KO) of Allentown, PA faces Maycon Oller Di Silva (1-6, 1 KO) of Concord, New Hampshire in a welterweight bout.
