Usman Wazeer Ready For War in WBO Youth Title Fight in Thailand

BANGKOK, Kingdom of Thailand — Pakistan’s Golden Boy Usman Wazeer (8-0, 5 KO’s), recognized by many as Pakistan’s most popular boxer since Amir Khan with a large following in the Islamic Republic, is more who ready to wage war for the vacant WBO Youth 147lbs world title at the next Highland Boxing Show scheduled for September 28 at the luxurious SpacePlus Night Club, RCA Plaza in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.

Wazeer, 22, born on the banks of the legendary Astore River in northern Pakistan, has come to Thailand to fight tough and hungry Thai warrior Somphot Seesa, 23, for the WBO World Junior Strap. A win could lift Usman up to the WBO welterweight world rankings.

Wazeer, already the WBA Asian welterweight champion, following his KO victory over the hard-hitting Phatiphan Krungklang last June in Gilgit, has pushed in training, aiming to win another coveted headband he wants.

Throwing heavy artillery at him will be the intrepid Thai warrior Seesa, a disciplined, strong and dangerous fighter with a fantastic team behind him, as well as his own goals and ambitions.

Former muay thai fighter, Seesa, born in the “Golden Basin” of Ang Thong in central Thailand, awaits the night of battle, focused on cornering the visiting Pakistani fighter in a great storm of leather.

The main event will be supported by:

– Undefeated WBA #14 Filipino world ranked John Michael Zulueta (13-0-2, 6 KO’s) of Bacolod wants his third straight victory in Thailand when he battles local warrior Sittichai Nimnual for the ABF 108lbs Continental Strap.

– Also, undefeated Indonesian Adli Hafidz (10-0, 6 KO’s) faces popular Shiva Thakran (15-3-1, 7 KO’s) from Gurgaon, India for the WBC 168lbs Asia Continental strap.

– Also, future Chinese 108-pounder Yang Jinping fights younger and more experienced Thai KO artist Phanuwit Chinpe (12-2, 11 KO’s) for Thailand’s PAT light flyweight strap; and more combat action ready to thrill.

– Also seen in action are Korean super welterweight Tae Kyun Kim (5-1-1), Pakistan’s light heavyweight Shoaib Kha, India’s super welterweight Abhuit Barauah, as well as undefeated cruiserweight Marvin Ruf of Spain.

This Thai boxing event is another entertaining production from award-winning Filipino promoter Brico Santig, head of the Highland Boxing Team, in association with boxer Tony Chen and active Thai promoter Supanat Chanram.
