PSG news: Paris Saint-Germain’s football adviser, Luis Campos, has insisted that they have Neymar and that they never considered selling the Brazilian in the summer transfer market. Neymar was linked with a move away from PSG in the summer transfer window with some rumors even suggesting that Kylian Mbappe wanted the Brazilian out of the squad.
Despite rumours, a move never happened, with Neymar still at PSG, the club he has been playing for since 2017. Neymar has made a stellar start to the new campaign after a disappointing 21/22 season at the team. French.

PSG News: Neymar was never close to leaving the club, says Campos
Campos has insisted that they never considered selling Neymar in the summer transfer window. PSG’s football adviser also dismissed suggestions that Mbappé wanted the club to sell Neymar. Campos also said that PSG has its three football superstars: Lionel Messi, Mbappé and Neymar.
“No. I even heard that Kylian had demanded that we take Neymar out. No. We have all three,” Campos said when asked if Neymar was close to leaving PSG. Last year, Kylian was the best player in the world. he was adapting, Neymar was injured and Kylian kept the team together. He’s a great player”.
Campos also said that Neymar is always on time and that the 30-year-old is involved in the PSG project. “And above all, everything I heard before him, I must have misheard because he is always on time. I see a Neymar involved in the team project, in the club project”.
Neymar and PSG have had a stellar start to the 22/23 season. PSG began their campaign by beating Nantes 4-0 in the Trophee des Champions final. Neymar scored two of the four goals PSG scored in that game.
Neymar has also scored eight goals in seven games for PSG in Ligue 1 this season. He has also provided six assists in the league this season. PSG sit atop the Ligue 1 points table with 19 points from seven games.
PSG have won six of the seven games they have played in the French top flight this season. The only match they did not win was against AS Monaco, who kept them tied 1-1.
Meanwhile, PSG started their 22/23 Champions League campaign by defeating Juventus 2-1. PSG followed up with a 3-1 victory over Maccabi Haifa. Neymar, Mbappé and Messi each scored a goal in that match. PSG resume their Ligue 1 campaign when they take on Lyon in an away game in their next game.
