Even when they don’t seem to be playing their best as a team, several of their players are stepping up and putting on great displays. A great example is the game against RB Leipzig.
When they played against RB Leipzig, Real Madrid were not even close to their best level. In fact, the German club seemed to be the best team of the night, but they didn’t score because it didn’t finish well, and Thibaut Courtois was great.
Real Madrid scored a couple of goals late in the game and found a way to win, which is what they do best. And Marco Asensio was one of the people who scored that night.
Asensio had remained on the bench against Mallorca and did not seem happy about it. He took the opportunity from him against RB Leipzig when it was given to him.
Even though his contract is almost up, there are still many questions about his long-term future at the Santiago Bernabéu.

CalcioMercato says that AC Milan is still interested in Asensio. Liverpool and Arsenal are also pending the Spanish.
What Asensio does in the future will be very interesting to see. His performance against RB Leipzig was good enough to give him more chances in the future.
But at the same time, it’s clearly better to use it as a stand-in which can make a big difference.
In addition, his current contract will end next summer, at which point he will be able to sign for the team of his choice.
So Real Madrid’s last chance to get a transfer fee from Asensio is in January, as an extension seems highly unlikely at the moment.
