French publication Le10 Sport claims that Hugo Ekitike made a mistake by not joining Newcastle this summer.
The young striker ended up signing for PSG after Newcastle reached an agreement with Reims for his transfer.
The 20-year-old had a change of heart and decided to turn down Newcastle for the Ligue 1 champions, while Newcastle broke their transfer record with the signing of Alexander Isak at the end of August.
The former Reims striker has logged just 66 minutes so far this season in five league games.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe was reportedly a big fan of the young striker and the Magpies would have guaranteed playing time for the 20-year-old if the move materialized.
