‘Bigger Fight’ – NEW Title Fight Confirmed to Padraig McCrory

Padraig McCrory [14(8)-0] he will face an undefeated German in Germany instead of French opposition in Ireland next month.

The super middleweight from Belfast got due reward for a sensational knockout streak by being mandatory for Gustave Tamba and his 168lb European title.

Conlan Boxing then won bids to promote the mandatory fight and McCrory looked set for a big night in Galway or Belfast.

However, according to Jamie Conlan, ‘The Hammer’ now has something bigger in store. The Dee Walsh-trained fighter will fight an undefeated German in Germany for a ‘biggest’ title at a Wasserman show on October 22.

“We have an agreement in principle with Nisse Sauerland… for Padraig McCrory, a bigger fight in Germany,” the CEO of Conlan Boxing told IFL TV.

“Poddy has a great fight and a great opportunity in Germany, I’m excited about that.”

The news means that an exciting show that Conlan Boxing had lined up for Galway at the end of October will now not take place. Conlan Boxing hopes to have both Top Rank stars, Kieran Molloy and Kurt Walker on the German card.
