Rising super heavyweight contender Arslanbek Makhmudov and his opponent, former world title challenger Carlos Takam, were in excellent condition and respectful at their weigh-in on Thursday ahead of tomorrow’s scheduled 10-round contest at the Casino. Montreal, Montreal.
Makhmudov entered at 263.2. The 33-year-old will attempt to make his sixth defense of his NABF title that he won in 2019. He enters the contest with an unblemished record of 14-0 (14 knockouts).
Meanwhile, Takam, who went 10 rounds when he faced then IBF, WBA and WBO champion Anthony Joshua, weighed in at a career-high 261.4. The 41-year-old Las Vegas resident is fighting for the first time since Joe Joyce stopped him in six rounds last July. Takam has a record of 39-6-1 (28 KOs).
In the main support fight, Steven Butler (30-3-1, 25 KOs) tipped the scales at 160, while his opponent Mark DeLuca (28-3, 16 KOs) hit 159 before their middleweight clash of the NABF.
