(Video) Liverpool youngster pulls off stunning save against Ajax in UEFA Youth League

Liverpool goalkeeper Harvey Davies has been involved with Jurgen Klopp’s first team for most of the campaign and was named among the substitutes for visiting Ajax on Tuesday night.

Earlier in the day, he had appeared for the club’s Under-19s against the youngsters of the Dutch team in the UEFA Youth League.

The 19-year-old goalkeeper joined the likes of Isaac Mabaya, Ben Doak and Bobby Clark in Barry Lewtas’ starting XI as the young Reds won 4-0 at the AXA Training Centre.

Davies, who has been on the bench for six of Liverpool’s eight competitive outings so far this season, was in excellent form against the Amsterdam side on Tuesday afternoon and a save from the clash highlights the quality of goalkeeper he is. .

A curling effort from the visitors appeared to be headed for the top corner before the youngster made an impressive save and nailed it off the crossbar.

He is learning from one of the best in Alisson Becker every day and we may very well see him earn a loan move in the near future to get some first-team minutes.

Caomhin Kelleher, who is sidelined with injury at the moment, is our current number two and has had quality every time Klopp called him up.
