Marcus Rashford parts company with top aide – Man United News And Transfer News

Marcus Rashford has parted ways with one of his most trusted confidants and enablers, Kelly Hogarth.

Beyond Manchester United, where Rashford is a key personality, the 24-year-old is also a leading figure for his country, England.

Over the years, Rashford has earned global recognition and national admiration for his efforts to combat child poverty and child hunger.

His initiatives have been largely overseen by Hogarth, who has handed over the role to the player’s brother, Dwaine Maynard, who already runs the sports operation.

Per David Ornstein of The Athletic, on Rashford and Holgarth’s close relationship and their split: “An influential member of the organization who has helped Rashford’s journey was Kelly Hogarth, who first partnered with him in 2019.

“They later joined the Roc Nation entertainment agency founded by rapper Jay Z. Hogarth and then brought Rashford to their Thelma Gwen business management agency.

“She helped fuel the immensely successful #endchildfoodpoverty campaign alongside Rashford, which claims to have benefited 1.7 million vulnerable children in Britain.

“In addition to social impact work, Hogarth has covered areas including other footballer community initiatives, media responsibilities, business partnerships and brand strategy.”

Ornstein attributes Hogarth’s departure to Rashford now focusing more on his football and his former assistant pursuing other projects and endeavors.

Ornstein also comments: “Sources close to Rashford indicate that the separation from Hogarth after four and a half years is on good terms and she will continue to work with her friend and international colleague Raheem Sterling.”

The setback appears to have not affected the England international who has been in top form this season.

Rashford currently has three goals and as many assists to his name in the current campaign and appears to have rediscovered himself after a troubled 2021/2022 season.
