The probable Juventus formation for Benfica clash -Juvefc.com

Although we are still in matchday two of the group stage, a loss to Benfica would be calamitous for Juve’s Champions League hopes.

The Bianconeri host the Portuguese on Wednesday night and simply cannot afford a negative result after their Matchday 1 loss in Paris.

So how will Massimiliano Allegri line up his men for the crucial clash?

According to Corriere dello Sport via JuventusNews24, the coach could adopt a 3-5-2 formation, once again spearheaded by the attacking duo of Dusan Vlahovic and Arkadiusz Milik.

The Pole has been in top form recently, and should have had a last winning gasp to his name last Sunday against Salernitana, but was ultimately denied by an unfair refereeing decision.

At the back, Leonardo Bonucci should lead the line, with Danilo and Gleison Bremer at his side. Mattia De Sciglio could get the nod over Juan Cuadrado for the right-back role, while Filip Kostic is all but certain of his starting spot at left.

In the middle of the park, Leandro Paredes will have the keys again. For the second game in a row, he should be joined by Weston McKennie and Fabio Miretti, while the likes of Manuel Locatelli and Adrien Rabiot are still not fully fit.

Juventus Likely XI (3-5-2): Perin; Bremer, Bonucci, Danilo; De Sciglio, McKennie, Paredes, Miretti, Kostic; Milik, Vlahović
