Liverpool fans will have been left scratching their heads at the referee’s failure to call a clear foul on Calvin Bassey’s Mo Salah.
The Ajax man was caught pushing the Egyptian onto the pitch, just outside the penalty area, with both hands as the former threatened to wreak havoc.
Although it is a minor injustice, it is still hard to believe how the referee could have thought that the challenge in question was within the laws of the game.
