The all-time Great Dane, Borge Krogh, passed away last week at the age of 80. Krogh participated in the 1960 and 1964 Olympics before turning professional. He quickly rose up the ladder and won the EBU lightweight title in 1966 with a fifteen-point win over Frenchman Maurice Tavant.

He retired in 1971 with a record of 43-8-5 and most of his losses were due to cuts. Krogh later became an excellent trainer and was the man behind WBA super welterweight champion Ayub Kalule and EBU titleholders such as Hans Henrik Palm, Jorgen Hansen and Racheed Lawal.
