Jurgen Klopp on the recent death of Queen Elizabeth II

The entire country has come to a standstill following the Queen’s death and Jurgen Klopp was asked for his opinion on the matter.

Speaking to the media before the Ajax match, the German said: “I am 55 years old and she is the only queen of England I have ever met. I don’t know her, but the things you can see now, she was a really warm, nice, dear lady and that’s all I need to know.

“Obviously it’s not about what I think, it’s about what people who are much closer to her think or feel much closer to her.

“I have a lot of respect for their pain and so I will show them my respect tomorrow night with a minute of silence if it happens.”

The questions being asked of the 55-year-old are interesting, as his role as Liverpool manager often leads him to comment on major world events as well.

As someone who wasn’t born in this country, our boss couldn’t say much, but he handled the question with the dignity and class that we expect of him.
