Ex-Red labelled as ‘the worst signing of the season’ by journalist

Liverpool made a number of signings this summer but also saw a lot of players walk out the starting gate and an ex-Rojo hasn’t had the best start at his new club.

Writing for The Daily Mail, Alvise Cagnazzo wrote of Divock Origi: “There is no doubt who has been the worst signing of the season in Serie A: Divock Origi. The Belgian left Liverpool hoping to finally get a place in starter at a top-tier club, but his time at AC Milan has so far been a disaster.

“Milan may be starting to think they made a mistake by signing Origi, who became one of the club’s top earners when he joined.”

Not a great read for the Belgian, who is so adored by our fans and will have so many wishing him well on his new journey in Italy.

Making this statement after only four appearances seems very harsh, as our former World No.27 has battled injuries and form already this campaign.

This news could be twisted to say that we got rid of the 27-year-old at a good time because it looks like his level of performance may have slipped in Milan.

However, we know very well that the former Lille player does not need too much time or space to get a goal and that is all he will need to restart his career.

We all wish him the best and hope reports like this don’t put him off, as our club legend looks to make his mark on Serie A and prove doubters wrong, once again.
