Jake Paul and Anderson Silva will come face to face today in Hollywood, kicking off promotion for their Showtime pay-per-view main event on October 29.
It is, on paper, the greatest test of the young boxing career for Paul (5-0, 4 KOs), who has not fought since his December 2021 rematch victory over Tyron Woodley.
Silva, 47, a bona fide MMA legend, has a boxing record of 3-1 (2 KOs), with the loss dating back to 1998, when Paul was 16 months old. He beat Julio Cesar Chavez by decision in Mexico a little over a year ago and defeated Tito Ortiz in a boxing match in his last outing in September 2021.
The press broadcasts live at 2 pm ET. Live updates will come on this stream if you can’t watch:
No card has yet been announced for the show, which will take place at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona, continuing Paul’s tour of “taking pay-per-view boxing to unusual places,” after plans to headline the Madison Square Garden in August. 6 flopped with Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman Jr.
