Man Utd news: Anthony Martial has praised his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Martial became Ronaldo’s teammate when the Portuguese superstar joined Man Utd in the summer of 2021. The Frenchman spent the first half of the 2021/22 season at Man Utd before joining Sevilla on loan until the end. it’s from the season.
Martial has since returned to Man Utd and Ronaldo continues to play for the Old Trafford side after a summer in which he reportedly wanted to leave the club.
Martial now praised Ronaldo when France Football asked the Frenchman about the Man Utd icon.

Martial described Ronaldo as “super humble” and a “hard worker” and revealed that they often talk when they are in the gym.
“He is super humble, and what a worker!” Martial said. “We often talk when we are in the gym in the morning before going to training and I would look at what he was doing. That’s logical, it’s Cristiano Ronaldo!
For his part, Ronaldo has not had a good start to the 22/23 season. He has appeared in all seven Man Utd games but has only started twice.
Manager Erik ten Hag left Ronaldo on the bench for Man Utd’s first game of the season. Ronaldo came off the bench in the second half as Man Utd went down in a 2-1 loss to Brighton.
Ronaldo started for Man Utd against Brentford and was present throughout the match as the Bees defeated the Red Devils 4-0.
Ten Hag has left Ronaldo on the bench in all four Premier League games they have played since the humiliation at Brentford. However, the 37-year-old has made appearances off the bench in all of those matches.
Ronaldo returned to the Man Utd starting eleven when they hosted Real Sociedad in their first match of the 22/23 Europa League. Despite featuring for the full 90 minutes, Ronaldo was unable to propel Man Utd to three points as Sociedad secured a 1-0 victory.
Ronaldo, who was Man Utd’s top scorer last season, has also failed to score a goal for the Red Devils this season.
Martial, meanwhile, has only played in one game for Man Utd this season, and is unavailable for selection in others due to fitness issues. Martial appeared in the second half of Man Utd’s 2–1 victory over Liverpool and provided the assist for Marcus Rashford’s goal.
