Liverpool unlikely to sign Arthur on a permanent basisJuvefc.com

During the last summer transfer session, Juventus were adamant about offloading some of the dead material in the first team with Arthur Melo at the top of the list.

The Brazilian joined the Bianconeri in 2020 in a trade that saw Miralem Pjanic heading to Barcelona. However, his two campaigns in Turin were a great disappointment.

Although the board had to wait until the day of the deadline, Federico Cherubini sent the midfielder to Liverpool, mission accomplished.

But according to Bild via ilBianconero, the Reds are unlikely to exercise their option to buy Arthur, which is set at €37m. Instead, they will send the player back to Turin once his loan period expires.

As the German source explains, Jurgen Klopp’s team will bet on Borussia Dortmund sensation Jude Bellingham next summer.

So regardless of how Arthur performs this season, the Premier League giants will prefer to save every penny so they can make a big offer for the young Englishman who surely won’t come cheap.

Juve FC says

Similar to the Aaron Ramsey case, Juventus are set to record significant losses from the entire Arthur saga.

However, it would surely help if the Brazilian seizes the opportunity and proves his worth at Anfield Road amid the ongoing injury crisis. This would allow him to attract other fans should Liverpool choose not to retain him.
