Chelsea Transfer News: English Premier League giants Chelsea are interested in signing Russian player Arsen Zakharyan from Dynamo Moscow.

A graduate of Dynamo Moscow’s academy, Arsen made his professional debut for the Moscow-based club after playing for their reserve team.

After getting opportunities with the senior team, Arsen began to show his talent. He soon established himself in the starting eleven.

Arsen’s consecutive performances with the Dynamo earned him a place in the national team camp. He made his debut for the national team against Croatia in a 0–0 draw, making him the second youngest player to play for the Russian team.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are still interested in signing Dynamo Moscow’s young prospect Arsen Zakaharyan.

Earlier in the window, Chelsea managed to come to terms with the young midfielder. The Blues went to great lengths to land the young Russian midfielder at Stamford Bridge.

However, with the sanctions imposed on Russian banks, Chelsea was unable to complete the deal.

Dynamo later released a statement saying: “On August 25 we received an offer from Chelsea for Arsen Zakharyan.”

The statement further states: “For several days, there have been intense negotiations between the Dynamo and Chelsea, in which our club took a constructive position.”

However, despite all this, Dinamo admitted that the transfer was not feasible in this summer transfer window for “a number of technical reasons beyond their control”.

A versatile midfielder Arsen has the ability to play as a wide midfielder on both flanks, both as an attacking midfielder and as a central midfielder.

At just 19 years old, he is seen as one of the biggest prospects in the world. Chelsea will now look to sign the midfielder in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Chelsea did not have a good start to the season. The Blues lost two of their first six Premier League games. On top of that, they suffered a painful loss in their first game of the Champions League campaign against GNK Dinamo Zagreb.

After this poor result, the German coach had a dispute with the Chelsea board and the players. Therefore, he was relieved of his duty and Graham Potter was hired to replace him.

They currently sit fifth in the English Premier League table. Graham Potter will take charge of Chelsea from the Red Bull Salzburg game.
