PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gapko was linked with a move to Leeds United throughout the summer, but the deal failed to materialize before the deadline.
However, the player continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League with Fabrizio Romano stating earlier this week that Leeds are “planning to push again” for Cody in January.
Leeds plan to push for Cody Gakpo again in January, after a crazy change on Deadline Day. It is the main objective… but there will be a lot of competition. ?? #LUFC

And now Graham Smyth of The Yorkshire Evening Post has claimed that if Leeds manage to sign Gapko in January it will be a ‘phenomenal’ deal, although he warns it might not be easy or cheap.
“A lot of people are putting their hats on Gakpo in January.” he told The Yorkshire Evening Post podcast. “If it happened, it would be a phenomenal business, an expensive business, because PSV can just name their price and probably [Leeds] will face tough competition.”
Leeds are ninth in the table after six games, their best result being a 3-0 win over Chelsea in August. There is optimism in the Leeds camp that this season will be much better than last. Where they are in the league table in January will definitely be a big factor in whether or not they can lure Gapko to Elland Road.
