Elkann confident Juventus is on the right path with their rebuildJuvefc.com

Agnelli family boss John Elkann has backed Max Allegri to lead Juventus back to the top of Italian football.

The Bianconeri coach won five consecutive league titles in his first spell in charge of the club.

He was fired and spent two seasons out of the club. However, Juve brought him back in the last campaign to rebuild the team.

Fans expected to win trophies with him that season, but that never happened and they remain inconsistent this term.

They lost their last match against PSG in the Champions League and would look to win again against Salernitana tomorrow.

Juve are still one of the best clubs in the world, but are they heading in the right direction? Elkann thinks so.

He says, as quoted by Football Italia:

“I am more than sure, I am convinced! Because Juve is going through a new cycle, as has happened many times in the now 100-year history that unites my family with the Juventus shirt.

“In 2023 my family will celebrate 100 years together with Juventus, a world record. And it is a strong bond that is passed down from generation to generation.

“After each cycle you have to be patient to rebuild.”

Elkann’s family has owned this club for a century, so he knows what it means to be in transition.

There are fans who want the team to keep winning, but there is a transition period for every club in the world, and this is ours.
