Predicting Barcelona lineup for their game against Cadiz

Barcelona has been a team to keep in mind. Barcelona has been the center of attention for its splendid performance on the field or for its drama in the back room.

The Catalans have started their campaign brilliantly. They have been winning games on the trot. Barcelona have won all previous games by a huge margin. They managed to score a great number of goals thanks to their rebuilding attack.

Barcelona has world-class attackers who can, in the blink of an eye, break through opponents’ defenses and score goals for fun. So far in Laliga, Barcelona have not lost a game and their only bump came against Rayo Vallecano on the opening day. Barcelona have also managed to win tough games in the league against tricky opponents like Sevilla and Real Sociedad with ease.

With a big Champions League clash next week where they take on Bayern Munchen, it would be interesting to see which line-up Xavi Hernandez opts for for his Laliga match against Cadiz this matchday.

Prediction Barcelona Playing XI against Cadiz

First of all, Barcelona will continue to play in their usual 4-3-3 formation. The specialty with this formation is on paper, it’s a 4-3-3. But really, on the ball, sometimes it becomes a 3-4-3 with one attacking-minded full-back playing full-back, while the opposite one is a bit defensive-minded and sits deep.

Defending

In goal, it is obvious that Ter Stegen will continue to be a starter with the Catalans. Going into defense here, we could see some changes. Barcelona’s latest additions, Marcus Alonso and Héctor Bellerin, are included in their squad and we may see Bellerin start at right-back alongside Alex Balde returning at left-back after resting his UCL matchday.

In the center back, we could see a duo of Arajou and Eric Garcia returning if Eric is fully fit, otherwise Christensen could team up with Arjaou. That means we could see a much-needed break for Jules Kounde after playing back-to-back matches.

Midfield

Going into midfield, here again we could see some rotations. Keeping his game against Bayern Munich in UCL in the back of his mind. With Pjanic out, we could see De Jong adopt that CDM role with Busquets coming on in the second half.

Going into the inner two, we could see Kessie returning her place in the team on the back of a splendid display that included her first goal for the club. There will be a draw between Gavi and Pedri for that final position in midfield and Pedri could be the favourite.

Attack

Barcelona is blessed with some world-class attackers. With Raphinha fully rested in their UCL match, he could get the nod at right winger. With Fati starting the last game in the UCL, we expect him to go to the bench and Ferran Torres could take his place on the left flank. Also, we could see Dembélé getting some rest and he could come off the bench later in the game.

Lastly, in that Forward role, we expect Robert Lewandowski to start and dominate the game. With Barca facing off against his old team Bayern, we may see him exit in the second half and Memphis Depay finally gets a chance to play in that CF role.
