In the main event, we will see a welterweight thriller that will see undefeated #3 ranked contender Khamzat Chimaev (11-0) fighting from Stockholm, Sweden through Chechnya, Russia fighting perennial fan favorite Nate Diaz (21 -13). out of Stockton, California.
Khamzat Chimaev sat across from reporters at Wednesday’s press conference, and you can watch the interview in the video above.
“It was an amazing performance,” Chimaev said of Edward’s victory. “He showed his heart, and at the last minute he knocked him out. I am happy for him. He deserved it. Hard work. But he doesn’t want to talk about me. I see someone ask me my name, and he jumps on it and talks about Nate Diaz, talks about Jorge Masvidal, Usman, Max Holloway. The guy doesn’t want to see my face.”
“I hope he’s healthy,” Chimaev said of a trilogy fight with former champion Usman. “We’ll see. I want to see him come back. If he comes back like before, I want to fight that guy.”
