In the main event, we will see a welterweight thriller that will see undefeated #3 ranked contender Khamzat Chimaev (11-0) fighting from Stockholm, Sweden through Chechnya, Russia fighting perennial fan favorite Nate Diaz (21 -13). out of Stockton, California.
Li Jingliang sat in front of reporters at Wednesday’s press conference, and you can watch the interview in the video above. He talks about how focused he is on his opponent Tony Ferguson.
“This is the sport. This is the game,” Jingliang said. “It’s always one guy wins, one guy loses. The most important thing is that you need to learn from loss, from failure. I took lessons from the Khamzat fight and had a great victory last time. But you always have to stay calm and carry on, just keep working and show your ability in the octagon.” He continued, “I feel happy for him, you know? Anything can happen in this game. If he was the winner that night, maybe he’ll be in the main event this Saturday, and they’d show the highlights of me by beating him. But I feel happy for him.”
“Surprised. I was surprised, as were all of you,” Jingliang said. “My first reaction was like, ‘Does the UFC want me to go down to 155?’ And then they told me Tony was going to move up to welterweight. I said, ‘Okay, let’s do it.’ He’s amazing.”

“Whoever my opponent is, I will always do my best in the Octagon and fight for the people who support me,” said Jingliang. “I think if we do our job, an amazing fight will come by itself.”
