First fights announced for BRAVE CF’s return to Kazakhstan

BRAVE Combat Federation is back in Central Asia in association with the Octagon League. And the BRAVE CF 62 x Octagon League 35 event, which is scheduled to take place in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 30, has its first fights set.

As is customary at BRAVE CF events, the best fighters from the host country take on some of the best in the world, with Kazakh stars Olzhas Eskaraev, Nurzhan Akishev, Ilyar Askhaniv and Alisher Gabdulin confirmed for action.

Eskaraev will take on 2020 BRAVE CF Fighter of the Year Rolando Dy in a big fight at lightweight. Fresh off a very close unanimous decision loss in an interim world title fight, Olzhas will look to bounce back against Filipino star Dy, one of the most seasoned veterans in the sport. The lightweight bout is expected to serve as the main event of the night.

Akishev, who scored one of BRAVE CF’s most epic comeback wins in his last outing, at BRAVE CF 59, will take on Pakistan’s Mehmosh Raza, while Alisher Gabdulin takes on Bair Shtepin in a big bantamweight matchup. .

Last but not least, Ilyar Askhanov will face Ukrainian Omar Solomanov in one of the early contenders for the fight of the night. The winner of this fight is expected to move to the top of the featherweight division and move closer to a title shot at the currently vacant belt.

BRAVE CF 62 will place Kazakhstan on a select list of nations that have hosted three or more BRAVE CF shows, in an exclusive club headed by Bahrain, and also with Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Sweden, Romania and India.
