Undefeated middleweights Richard Brewart Jr. (12-0, 4 KOs) and Joeshon James (6-0, 3 KOs) will square off in an 8-round main event on Thompson Boxing’s “Locked ‘N Loaded” card. In the 8-round co-main event, Roberto Meza Jr. (15-2-1, 8 KOs) faces Isaac Avelar (16-5, 10 KOs) in a featherweight matchup.
“Locked ‘N Loaded” will take place at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, CA on Friday, September 23rd. Doors will open at 6:30 pm PT and the first fight will begin at 8:00 pm PT. Tickets, priced at $50, $75 and $100, are available for purchase by calling 714-935-0900 or online at www.thompsonboxing.com. Fight fans will be able to view all of Thompson Boxing’s fights, weigh-ins and behind-the-scenes content through its new downloadable mobile app on Apple and Google.
“This will be another step toward my goal of becoming one of the best middleweights in the division,” Brewart Jr. said.
“This will be the fourth undefeated fighter I will face in my career, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. These are the kind of fights I need to win to qualify. I am looking forward to a tough fight with Joeshon James, and the fans will witness a great performance from me. My goal is to take him down and eliminate him in the later rounds.”
“Brewart Jr. is a good fighter, but he’s not at my level,” Joeshon James said. “I know he will fight in front of his hometown fans, but that has only motivated me to train harder as I know I will be fighting in hostile territory. No disrespect, but I’m going to win this fight and give Brewart Jr. his first loss.”
