Jurgen Klopp strangely asked whether he fears the sack after big Napoli defeat

As poor as Liverpool have been this season, it would apparently be madness to fire the one person who has inspired a level of performance at Liverpool Football Club that hasn’t been seen for a long time.

Still, Jurgen Klopp was asked if he had any concerns about the prospect of losing his job in response to a big defeat in Naples; the answer was a resounding no, as James Pearce tweeted.

The Merseysiders are set to take on Wolves in the English top flight on Saturday, a meeting Bruno Lage’s men may well be enjoying in the Reds’ latest outing.

It’s hard to imagine FSG being too reactionary when it comes to the manager who won Liverpool their first league title in 30 years.

Simply put, there are very few managers in world football who could continue to deliver results on the pitch with the limited funds available to us compared to some of the best teams in Europe.

It would take a bad season of epic proportions for John W. Henry and Co. to pull the trigger to bring in a replacement.

And at that point, where would our American owners begin to look?
