Ian Wright praises Marcus Rashford and says he looks reborn – Man United News And Transfer News

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has praised Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford for his big change at Old Trafford and says the player seems reborn.

Wright, speaking on the Ringer FC podcast via The Daily Mail, got lyrical about the 24-year-old.

Rashford has been in fine form since the arrival of Erik ten Hag and appears to have found a new lease on life under the Dutch manager.

After his double against Arsenal on Sunday, the number 10 now has three goals and two assists in the six games he has played this season.

This is a far cry from last year’s Rashford, who lost his place in the squad to Anthony Elanga under Ralf Rangnick.

Speaking of Rashford, Wright said: “Looking at Manchester United, in the current climate, you don’t want those players to be confident.”

“But Rashford seems to be reborn, he is putting the pot on the fire because he is ready to cook. In that case (running towards the goal), he seems unstoppable”.

According to Wright, the only thing that can stop Rashford, who seems invincible at the moment, is if a pass isn’t good enough or his touch isn’t good enough.

“Both endings took a little clip off someone, but he’s getting lucky now. With the pace of him, he’s fucking dangerous.”

The former Arsenal striker attributes the England international’s reversal of fortunes to his regaining confidence, something Wright believes the player had lost.

Wright went on to say: “I’m really happy for Rashford because, it was the same as Liverpool’s game, he’s another one of those players that everything he does is pretty defining.”

“If he misses that (first goal), he goes back to that place of real negativity. But what I’ve seen from him so far, especially with the last two goals he’s scored, is someone who thinks: “If I pass, I’m scoring.”

Rashford will no doubt have a big influence on how United’s season ends. Fans are hoping his exciting form for his club will continue. United Matchday Magazine – The best United match experience. Can Ten Hag’s men make five out of five? Get the Royal Society Matchday Mag issue now to find out:
