Héctor García lives a great moment of glory in his career after being proclaimed super featherweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA). The Dominican achieved a great feat and put his country at the top, for which he is a reason for admiration and example.
He knows that he has a responsibility and assumes it without any selfishness. He wants to motivate the youngest and convince them that through sport they can be great.
“It means a lot to me and I am proud to serve as an example for them because I have been in this career for several years. It has not been easy but it is not impossible either. I have gotten to where I am with a lot of effort, sacrifice, desire and a lot of will”, said the “Android” in statements collected by the Colimdo portal.
The left-handed wrestler was present at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center and shared experiences with different athletes and coaches who helped him in his training. He thanked everyone for their contribution and told a motivating and rewarding story for those who dream of the same as him.
Now begins the path of Garcia, who wants to remain WBA champion and knows that he needs much more work and dedication to keep it. He is an example for his country and for Latinos.
