Kylian Mbappe insists his relationship with Paul Pogba has not been affected by the recent revelation by the midfielder’s brother that he put a spell on the striker.
Pogba’s brother, Mathias Pogba, posted a video and made a series of accusations against his brother.
The midfielder’s field responded and revealed that he has been a victim of extortion for a long time.
He reported the matter to police in France and Italy after he was attacked in both countries.
Mbappe was asked what he thought about his involvement in the family saga and he reveals that the Juventus midfielder approached him to explain the real facts, and he believes him.
He said, as quoted by Football Italia:
“No, because right now I prefer to trust what my partner says. He called me and gave me his version of events. Right now it’s his word against his brother’s word, so I’m going to trust my partner,” he assured.
“We have a great competition with the national team and I am quite disconnected from the whole thing.”
