By Barry Holbrook: Eddie Hearn says he doubts Tyson Fury is serious about fighting Anthony Joshua in December. However, Hearn reportedly spoke with George Warren, the son of promoter Frank Warren, to begin talks about a Joshua-Fury fight in December.
Hearn points out that Fury has been all over the place recently, saying he’s retired, wants $500 million, talking about fighting Derek Chisora and then suddenly coming out of retirement to throw his hat in the ring for an undisputed fight. against Oleksandr Usyk. with the way that
With Fury constantly changing his mind, it’s no wonder Hearn is skeptical of his intentions for a December fight against Joshua. The Gypsy King hasn’t seemed stable since his last fight against Dillian Whyte.
Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) posted on social media last Monday that he is “ready” to fight Fury in December if he is serious. As such, Hearn will go out of his way to try to make the fight, but there is a lot of question as to whether it can be done.
“Yeah, relax. I don’t jump into online discussions just for clout, so if you’re really into it, yell @258mgt. I’ll be ready in December,” Anthony Joshua said on Twitter.
This is an easy fight to make the normal champion have challenger privileges, and I’m 100% serious ????

Fury’s comment about “normal to challenger privileges” is a red flag that the fight is going to be paid for.
It doesn’t matter if Fury holds the WBC title because casual boxing fans probably don’t know he holds a title. Unfortunately for Fury, Joshua is the biggest star, which means a lot when it comes to brokering a fight between them.
“We had plans after the Usyk loss to come back in December and then come back in March, get active and get back on track again and then try to fight for the world heavyweight title,” Eddie Hearn told talkSPORT of his previous plans for Anthony Joshua. he will return to the ring in December after his loss to Oleksandr Usyk last August.
“I know after talking to AJ, if that fight is there and they’re serious, which I have my doubts about, but for the sake of trying to make it happen, let’s believe that Tyson Fury and I said to George Warren last night, see the details and the offer for us and I’ll take it to AJ, he’s ready to go.”
