The 1958 hit back at mainstream media for protest ‘censorship’ – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United fans continued their resistance against Glazer’s ownership of the club on Sunday before the match against Arsenal.

The 1958, an underground group concerned with organizing fan protests and demonstrations against the Glazer family, in a statement said thousands of supporters protested outside Trinity before the Arsenal game.

In a different form of protest than in 1958, Sunday’s event involved carrying banners and flags to display outside. These were then brought into the ground during the game.

However, the group warns that there is still a long way to go to achieve their main goal of getting the Glazers out of the club.

Although the protest was successful, The 1958 accuses the media of downplaying the efforts of fans to protest the Glazers.

In his statement, “it is also extremely disappointing and frustrating that Sky continues to muffle noise inside the stadium that is clearly audible (and visible in this game) against our property.”

“We warned about this in our previous posts about the club manipulating the audio with Casemiro’s introduction and also Sky and their lack of coverage given to the off-field protests and then clearly doing nefarious activities with the audio during the game.”

“This is also obvious to everyone else. Anyone who was at Old Trafford yesterday will tell you that this is nothing like a true reflection of the fans on and off the pitch.”

“In addition to the censorship of Sky and other media, we are also seeing the club clamping down and doing everything they can to ensure that any excuse is taken to remove anti-Glazer sentiment from inside the pitch.”

The group promises to get to the bottom of the matter, regarding the manipulation of Sky and other elements of the press.

Through its official Twitter account, the group thanked the fans who showed up to protest during the Arsenal match.

Showing no signs of slowing down any time soon, the group has also promised to publish plans tomorrow for another campaign against United’s owners.
