3 Reds back in training & Klopp’s Tsimikas verdict – Latest LFC News – Liverpool FC

Liverpool are back in action in less than two days and we get a timely update on the squad from training, while a famous face visits Kirkby once again.

3 Reds return to training!

With international action now behind us, Liverpool have reconvened for training and as a result, we’ve received welcome updates on the injury front.

Caoimhin Kelleher, Ibrahima Konate and Calvin Ramsay were photographed at Thursday’s training session, none of whom have appeared so far this season.

It’s a huge boost with 13 games to be played in the space of 42 days. They will need time to catch up, but it is an important step forward.

And while neither Curtis Jones nor Andy Robertson were involved in the workout, they aren’t expected to be out much longer.

Luis Díaz, Diogo Jota and Darwin Núñez, meanwhile, were not photographed in the session, but all were very involved for their country during the break and were probably given extra time to rest or were doing individual work in the gym.

That’s more positive news than we’ve received so far this season and we expect Jurgen Klopp to deliver more welcome updates at his pre-Brighton press conference on Friday afternoon.

3 things today: Famous visitor and touching tributes

Rugby World Cup winner Siya Kolisi has become a frequent visitor to Liverpool in recent years and again visited Kirkby to watch training and pose with Klopp and Thiago. In a touch of class, the Germany Under-21s paid their respects to the 97 at the Hillsborough memorial in Sheffield earlier this week before a meeting with England.

Jordan Henderson is confident Liverpool have “the players and the mentality” to “improve quickly” after a slow and stuttering start to the season. Fortunately, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and his young family are unharmed, but police say his home was burglarized while he was inside Tuesday night. The captain also spoke of his admiration for Liverpool target Jude Bellingham, but is hesitant to “choose too much because he’s still a young lad”.

He thinks it’s clear what Klopp thinks of Kostas’s hair!
